Wear Red Canada is celebrated annually across Canada on February 13th to raise awareness about women’s heart health.
Events are held online and across the country to remind everyone, especially women, to be mindful, curious, and proactive in managing our heart health and wellness. This event is proudly hosted by the Canadian Women's Heart Health Alliance (CWHHA).
The CWHHA is a national network of over 170 experts and advocates working to develop and disseminate evidence-informed strategies to transform clinical practice and enhance collaborative action on women’s cardiovascular health in Canada. The CWHHA is powered by the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre (CWHHC) with funding support from the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.
Proceeds will directly support the Wear Red Canada campaign (e.g., administrative costs, marketing and promotion, human resources). The remaining funds help support the CWHHA’s national project outputs. See our projects and initiatives webpage for a detailed summary.
The CWHHA is funded by the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation (UOHIF). Therefore, the UOHIF will be listed as the charitable organization on your tax receipt.
