OPENING SESSION with Heather Lannon and Justin Ezekowitz:

  • Highlight the significance of Education and Collaboration.
  • Present the HeartLife perspective on why E3 is an important event each year.
  • Share the importance of the caregiver's viewpoint and how it enriches the educational experience.
     
    SESSION 1: Mental Health Session with Nick Zap, Puneeta Tandon, and Jude Batstone:
  • Provide caregivers with diverse perspectives and actionable solutions related to Mental Health, promoting holistic well-being.
  • Introduce and highlight the advantages of the Empower program, a web-based tool, to equip participants with valuable mental health resources.
  • Share a patient's first-hand experience with the Empower program to emphasize its practical benefits and relevance.
     
    SESSION 2: Guideline Directed Medical Therapy with Ricky Turgeon, Tracy Bawtinheimer, and Lynette Kosar:
  • Emphasize the significance of collaborative decision-making between healthcare professionals and patients in the context of Guideline Directed Medical Therapy.
  • Discuss the active role patients play in their own care, underlining their empowerment in the treatment process.
  • Highlight the accessibility of medications throughout Canada, promoting awareness of patients' rights and resources.
     
    SESSION 3: Technology, Innovation and Research with Nat Hawkins, Anne Simard, and Wayne Sandvik.
  • Explore recent advancements in technology, such as AI and Echos, and their impact on healthcare, fostering participants' understanding of cutting-edge trends.
  • Review the Medly program and other programs and research illustrating how technology integration enhances patient care and engagement.
  • Share a patient's real-life encounter with technology, showcasing the practical advantages and improved patient experiences.
