Wear Red Canada Sudbury

This free event aims to highlight the importance of women's heart health, increase awareness of the risks and symptoms specific to women, and encourage preventative action to improve women's heart health outcomes.

Our ultimate goal is to improve the heart and vascular health of women in Canada of all ages because:

1) Heart disease is on the rise and is the leading cause of death for women worldwide; 
2) Heart attack symptoms are not recognized in over 50% of women;
3) Causes of heart disease can be different for women than men;
4) Women can be at greater risk for heart disease than men;
5) There is a lot we can all do to help reduce the risk. Heart disease is largely preventable.

Together we can help improve awareness on women's heart health in the north!
